Here at Flower Power we are committed to minimizing our impact on the world by adopting green ways of working wherever possible.
Here’s a sample of the things we are actively doing to promote our green policies and reduce our impact on the environment to protect the globe for generations to come.

- Use bucket and old vase water to water outside plants
- Keep stems and green waste separate for compost recycling
- Turn off the air conditioning at nights and weekends and during the day whenever possible
- Turn off lights when not in use
- Remove light bulbs from lights that are non essential

- Print on both sides of paper when practical
- Do not use fax cover pages
- Avoid paper towels and use cloths or rags
- Never reprint orders unless necessary
- Break down and recycle all cardboard
- Recycle printer cartridges

- Recycle all plastic bottles used
- Avoid using plastic flatware, paper plates or plastic cups
- Recycle vases from corporate accounts and customers

- Wherever possible we only buy from growers who have adopted fair trade practices providing minimum pay and working standards to farm workers
- Use coffee from fair trade coffee growers

What you can do to help us and the planet…
- Recycle vases – bring in your old vases, baskets and containers and we will exchange them for flowers!
- Order online – minimize gas by avoiding a trip to the store, you can order through our secure website www.flowerpowerdavenport.com 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Recycle your vase water – change your vase water daily to maximize the life of your flowers and use the old water to water your plants
We are also proud to launch the
Flower Power Green bouquet
This is the first arrangement available in a recycled green glass vase and contains a mix of flowers including Fuji mums, alstromeria and caspia. This is available for local delivery to our customers.
